This dive site is sacred because it is crowned above water by the “Cristo Rei do Garajau”, the statue of Jesus, which towers about 80m above the dive site. With so many blessings, we follow the easy-to-dive wall underwater, and drift relaxed (one way) past jagged rock formations, deep crevices and scattered rocky outcrops lying in the sandy bottom. The ray season from the end of May to the end of July is particularly inviting, as the second name of this dive site is also “Sting Ray City”.
