The majority of our guest (ca. 90%) stay at the Galo Resort Hotels, in Caniço de Baixo, which lays directly over the Manta Diving Center. At the Galo Resort Hotels you can choose between the 4 star Hotel Galosol and the new Hotel Galomar. Both hotels are conveniently located, being an ideal option if you are travelling with non-diving partner, friends or family.

From the Galo Resort Hotels you can directly reach the “Lido Galomar”, which is the beach complex where you can find our diving center, as well as, a natural salt water pool, kids pool, sea access, sunbathing area with sunbeds and a nice restaurant. Besides this, the Galo Resort Hotels offer a great selection of sports activities, wellness and entertainment.

SENTIDO HOTEL GALOSOL****

The spaciousness of Sentido Hotel Galosol, is due to the generous pool and garden area…also ideal for non-diving company. With the more upscale category and the attractive single & double rooms as well as studios, junior & master suites, the facility offers a dreamlike view of the rocky coast and the Atlantic Ocean. The new dive bar “Capoeira” as well as the new wellness launch and the large sports – & fitness center Galosol, grant a wide range of sports and entertainment options. A bus stop to Funchal is in the immediate vicinity.

Manta Diving Madeira has always been located on the Galomar Hotels complex and therefore in an exclusive prime location directly on the sea, with its own house reef. The well-known diving hotel Galomar, which is located directly above the base, has been completely rebuilt – making it the first “GREEN-HOTEL” in Portugal, with a certified energy efficiency A++. The particular way of construction of the hotel, is a very good sign of a rethinking in tourism, in terms of environmentally conscious travel.

Here you have the choice between two 4-star accommodations, the Sentido Hotel Galosol – which has been completely renovated in 2022/2023 – and the leading environmental hotel in Portugal; the Sentido Hotel Galomar.

Conclusion of the Hotel Galosol and Galomar: Convenient and time-saving for divers and non-diving companions, you can reach the bathing complex “Lido” with restaurant, bar, chill out area and pool, as well as the diving school from these accommodations.

If the Galo Resort Hotels are fully booked or you are looking for an alternative hotel, Manta Diving also offers the possibility of booking small garden flats and/or a charming house for individualists and private connoisseurs.

Sheltered on the sunny south coast of Madeira, in the village of Canico de Baixo, the accommodation units are embedded in a subtropical garden with banana trees, passion fruit and exotic flowers. The cosy accommodations have bright, ground-level rooms with large glass windows/doors and are lovingly furnished. Bed linen and towels are provided for home use and are changed weekly. A washing machine is available for the holiday guests, free parking, bus stop (approx. 2 min.), restaurant/ cafe (approx. 2 min.), mini markets (approx. 5 min.), etc. The diving school can be reached in a few minutes on foot.
